Hours passed by...
Arnav came home and 6:00 p.m. and went in his room to rest.
After an hour, the guests started arriving at the party. Khushi dressed up and opened the partitioned door to call Arnav for the party. He was dressed up in casuals and ignored her call as the TV volume was too high.
Khushi went near him and decreased the volume of the TV. She said "Arnav the guests have arrived. Come get ready fast."
Arnav got up angrily and said "I don't want to go anywhere. Please leave me alone."
Khushi said "What happened Arnav? Everything is fine in office? Did I do anything because of which you are upset?"
Arnav said "I lost the contract. Dad worked so hard for it and because I did not attend the meeting yesterday and dad as well was not sure what I had prepared for the presentation, the contract was given to another company. It's all because of me but dad did not tell me anything. I feel so guilty."
Khushi said "I can understand your pain Arnav but dad only arranged this party. He will feel happy if you attend it. He has invited so many guests and if his son is not there, it would be humiliating."
Arnav agreed with her and decided to attend the party.
Arnav came down with Khushi and held her hand which made Khushi feel happy and Gauri as well was happy to see Arnav and Khushi's relationship getting stronger.
Arnav welcomed all the guests and introduced Khushi to them. Vikram went on the stage to make an announcement. He invited Khushi and Arnav to join him and said "Today is a very special day in my life. Here is my son Arnav Raizada and his wife Khushi Raizada. These months were tough in our life but now everything is good. We all are living like a happy family and so I have invited you all to join us in our happiness today." All start clapping and congratulating the couple.
After an hour, Arnav went and joined his college friends in a discussion while Khushi was interacting with Gauri. She was feeling low as her family could not attend the party as Vikram was unwell and resting at home with Kasturi and Sunaina looking after him. Priya too had been out of town and would return the next day.
Arnav's friends made him drink a glass of wine with them. His one friend Vicky was observing Khushi and he said "That's your wife right?"
Arnav said "Yes, she is Khushi."
Vicky said "She looks good but not classy at all. What did you see in her that you got married to her?"
Arnav's other friend Sunil stopped him saying "Vicky, please don't."
Vicky said "Sunil, ya fine I won't say anything but Arnav, your choice is really weird. She does not look your type. Your girl friends like Sanjana and Reema were so beautiful and belonged to very rich families. This girl looks so behnji types. Even in the short dress, she looks so tacky."
Another boy Pradeep said "Vicky, I don't find her looking tacky. She is so hot. I mean the black dress suits her so well." He kept staring at her legs and admiring her beauty.
Arnav said "Just stop it now guys. Vicky, don't judge a girl by the clothes she wears and I chose her for myself. Not for you that you are making such statements. And Pradeep, she is my wife. Don't forget that."
Vicky said "Oh so you’re jealous that we am talking to your wife?"
Arnav said "I am not jealous but you try to cut this crap right now."
Pradeep said "If you are not jealous then can I ask your wife for a dance?"
Arnav looked at him and said "Why do you want to dance with my wife? There are so many girls here. Choose anyone."
Pradeep said "It's just a dance. What's the problem in that?"
Arnav still refused and his friends said "Come one Arnav, it's only a dance."
Arnav agreed and Pradeep asked Khushi for a dance. Arnav signaled her to dance with him and Khushi went to the dance floor and danced with Pradeep.
Khushi's eyes were only at Arnav while he was drinking and chatting with his friends while Arnav was noticing her with the corner of his eyes getting jealous that she was dancing with a boy.
Pradeep was mesmerized with her beauty and her scent was making him feel attracted to her even more. He said "Your things look very sexy."
Khushi widened her eyes on hearing this and said "What?"
Pradeep said "I mean, you look beautiful in black." He pulled her near him and Khushi was feeling awkward. She tried to free herself but
Pradeep had caught her so tight that she was unable to release herself. She did not want to create a scene and spoil the party and so pushed him and walked out of the house.
