After few days, Arnav finally got a job in a small IT firm named ABC IT Consultants where the salary was only INR 8000 as Arnav was a fresher and Arnav had to work for 11 hours every day.
Khushi started learning to cook food but Arnav did not let her work as she was feeling quite weak and was in her second month of pregnancy.
Arnav kept borrowing money from his friends as the money was falling short for paying the rent, electricity and also bought a bed and a second-hand TV for Khushi so that she could spend her time happily when he was not there at home.
The love between Arnav and Khushi remained intact despite all the financial problems and they decided to ignore these small facts and only save money for their child.
Arnav did all he could for Khushi and did not let Khushi work outside as she had to study for her exams as well.
Khushi once saw Arnav knitting clothes for their child and she started laughing saying that it is her work but he being stubborn did not listen and kept making sweaters and socks for their kid.
A month had passed by...
Arnav was working in the office late night and it was 12:00 a.m.
Khushi was getting worried for Arnav and Arnav had informed her that since there is a lot of work load in office, he will have to stay in the office itself and complete the work.
Khushi was not able to get sleep and she decided to watch television till then.
She changed the channels and while browsing the channels, the news that flashed was ABC IT Consultants in Andheri has caught fire due to short circuit.
This news made Khushi feel restless. She caught a rickshaw and reached the office within 30 minutes.
On reaching the office, Khushi saw many ambulances standing outside the office and the men with a fire extinguisher trying to control the fire.
There were lot of screams heard and people running all over searching for their dear ones and crying.
Khushi just stood there blank and the moment froze for her. She could just see fumes all over and she did not know whether to break down or to run and search for Arnav.
One lady dashed her and said "Everyone is dead inside. Everybody is dead. My son died. I lost my only son died and I too want to die." She cried on Khushi's shoulder and Khushi came back to her senses and caressed the woman's face and tried to console her. The woman fell to the ground and Khushi was totally shattered looking at her misery.
Khushi looked at the office entrance and saw Arnav being brought out on a stretcher. She asked some people to help the woman and rushed to see Arnav.
Arnav's body had bruises all over and was bleeding profusely. His white shirt had turned completely red with blood and his face had burns all over and turned back.
He was struggling for each breath and was semi-conscious. His eyes were a bit open but he was not in his senses.
Khushi broke down to see Arnav in this condition and cried out his name and entered the ambulance with him. On their way to the hospital, she caught his hand which had bruises on it and the skin too was completely burnt.
He took her name once and Khushi caressed his face saying "Arnav, I am there. Your Khushi is with you." She kissed his hand and said "Arnav, you will be alright very soon. Don't worry, I am with you."
