Arnav was smiling at the baby and he said to himself "Today we would also be happy like that couple. Their child is so cute and innocent. My baby also would look the same. I had thought so much about spending time with my baby but now everything is over. I wish Khushi had asked me once before taking this decision."
Khushi was waiting the whole night for Arnav but he did not return. She kept crying the whole night till her eyes became lifeless and she sat on the floor looking at all the furniture scattered on the floor. Her eyes were set at the door waiting for Arnav to come home soon and her heart prayed for his safety.
Arnav left the beach at 5:00 a.m. and was about to cross the road when a bike came in speed and hit him. The bike man fell off the bike and was bleeding profusely while Arnav got injured on his leg. The people nearby rushed both of them to the hospital and Arnav's leg was plastered. He was unable to walk and one person from the hospital reached him home.
Khushi rushed to the door when Arnav entered the house and she wanted to help Arnav in walking but he stopped her with his hand. She said "What happened to you Arnav? Your leg is hurt? How did this happen? Where were you all night? Tell me Arnav."
Khushi continued asking him questions and when she dint get any reply, she ran inside the bedroom and brought the first aid box with her to bandage his wound.
"I'll bandage your wound Arnav else it will become septic." Khushi said with concern.
Arnav passed through Khushi and went and sat on the sofa without answering her. He took the bottle from the table and filled a glass of water and went to drink it when his hand started aching and he noticed few scratches on his hand. Khushi went to give him the glass of water and Arnav shouted "Stop there. Don't come near me. I don't need you nor your help and so stay where you are."
Hearing these harsh words from Arnav, Khushi could not stop her tears and she said "Arnav, you don't need me? I know you are angry with me but please don't speak so rudely to me. I can bear anything but not this hatred. Please Arnav, try to understand me."
Arnav got up in frustration, threw the glass on the floor which made Khushi move behind and the water droplets fell on her face. He said loudly "Don't you understand English. Just back off I said. I don't want to see your face again and just leave me now." Khushi stood in front of him and was about to speak when Arnav said "What are you standing her for? You did not hear me? I said just go else I will leave." Khushi took few steps behind and entered the bedroom.
Khushi sat on the floor and rested her head on the bed. She started caressing her feet which was hurt by a piece of the broken glass but for her Arnav's pain was more important than her pain. She dint know what to do to make him understand her. "I ruined his birthday because of my mistake. This was the day he proposed to me and today is the day when he does not even want to see my face. Everything has changed. I don't know what to do to get back my Arnav. I can't see him in pain. God, please don't do this to us. Please..."
