Arnav came back home and saw Khushi packing the bags. He did not say anything but as usual went to sleep on the sofa and turned the other side so that he has not to face Khushi. They kept crying the whole night but neither Khushi nor Arnav were ready to interact with each other and sort the matter. Arnav was not ready to stop Khushi and tell her not to leave the house and wanted her to say that she is not leaving the house. On the other hand, Khushi wanted to hear from Arnav that he does not want her to leave the house.
The next morning, Arnav went to read the newspaper in the hall when the door knocked. He opened the door and was surprised to see Gauri.
Arnav welcome Gauri inside and said "Mom, please sit. I will bring water for you."
Gauri caught his hand and said "Arnav beta, I don't want anything to eat or drink. I and your dad want to talk to you and Khushi. Is it OK if your dad comes in?"
Arnav said "Dad? He is here?"
Gauri said "Yes, he has come here and is waiting outside."
Arnav went and told Vikram to come inside. Khushi came out from the bedroom and was happy to see Arnav's parents. She went to the kitchen and served them water. Gauri went and hugged Khushi saying "I am happy to see you beta. How are you and how's the baby?"
Khushi looked at Arnav and did not know what to answer Gauri. She smiled and said "Fine."
Vikram went near Khushi and said "Khushi, I am sorry beta for whatever I told you and your dad. I had nothing against you and your family but was only thinking about the difference between your status and our status. "
Khushi said "Uncle, please don't say that. You are elder to me and whatever happened, happened. I have no hard feelings for you but respect you a lot."
Vikram said "No beta, today I want to clear everything out. I know that you are a very good and talented girl but I was not able to accept you as my daughter-in-law because I used to feel that my reputation in the society will be affected by this. I forgot that status is not important but children are more important."
Vikram went near Arnav and said "I have only one son and I only made that son leave my house. You are my only property Arnav and without you, my entire property, money, reputation, status is absolutely nil. My real treasure if only you. Please come back home. I want my children to live with me. I want you to forgive me for whatever I said to you, Khushi and her dad. Please forgive me Arnav and Khushi. I am really very sorry."
Arnav got up, caught Vikram's hands and said "Dad please don't say sorry and no need to join your hands in front of us. I have forgiven you for everything. You are my dad. “Arnav looked at Khushi and said "Every parent thinks about their child's future and cannot live without their child. You thought about your status first and I thought about my love. We both were right somewhere and were wrong too and I should not have left the house like that. It was my mistake that...."

Vikram interrupted him and said "No Arnav. It was not your mistake but it was mine. I was thinking about myself only and was selfish but now I want to rectify my mistake by accepting Khushi and the baby."
Khushi looked down with guilt and went inside the bedroom and started crying.
Gauri went inside and tried to console Khushi thinking that she is crying because of what happened in the past between Vikram and her dad.
After an hour, Arnav came inside the bedroom and said "Gauri, Arnav is ready to come with us."
Gauri wiped her tears and smiled saying "That's a good news. Khushi beta, please pack your bags fast and I will help you in the packing. Arnav, you too help us in the packing."
Gauri looked at the bed and said "The bags are already packed? Beta, you both were going somewhere?"
Khushi looked at Arnav and then at Gauri. She said to herself "May be Arnav does not want me to come with them and so he is not saying anything. He is right as I had decided that I should leave the house yesterday and I should be firm on my decision. I will have to tell Gauri aunty that I am going to my parents' house."
Khushi said "Gauri aunty, I was actually packing to go and stay with my parents. Actually dad is not well and so mom told me to spend some time there."
Gauri said "Oh God, what happened to your dad? Anything serious?"
Khushi said "No no aunty. Dad is just feeling a bit sick and due to stress, he is taking rest at home."
Gauri said "Thank God that there is nothing serious. And beta, you can go and stay with your parents for few days if you wish but call my mom and not aunty."
Khushi smiled and said "Mom."
